(on the last day they changed these heads) The toilets were very rundown and not maintained. Broken sunbeds and umbrellas All steps into pool are dangerous and unfit to use… (a guest had to tell the lifeguard to remove one set as someone as going to hurt themselves) Black mould all around the pool ledge and the shower heads by the pool were black with thick mould. It’s a old dirty, run down, unloved hotel that maybe had its glory 30 years ago…. TUI SHOULD DROP THIS HOTEL… I have been missed sold this hotel, also tui advertise Dassia as “the right side of lively” I can honestly say it would be better described as “ sadly had its day, dirty and needs a massive investment or just stop selling it as a “resort” it is a grotty part of Corfu… Thank good for Maibu beach club 15 minutes walk down the beach… We just went there most days as we just couldn’t stand being at the hotel pool This hotel is not 4 star…. The only 2 member of staff that were lovely was the lady and the gentleman working the bar most evenings. Maybe they don’t look after their staff very well too it seemed….
Talking to other guests staying at this hotel they were told it has been bought out this year and clearly the hotel has gone down hill… Food is ok but not much variety, the chips seem to have black bits stuck to them like they have been cooked in a old flaky tray Whoever owns this hotel is happy to take peoples money but not prepared to maintain it…. When reading the reviews on this hotel change the filter to the last 3 months…. The hotel will respond to this review and make their excuses but to be fair the staff all seemed very unhappy…. Read this if your serious about booking this hotel or even coming to Dassia.
The reviews on trip advisor should be seen as constructive criticism not personal assault on the hotel. Ive tried to be as fair as i can in my review and include positives aswell as the negative. We had a late flight back to the uk and the hotel kindly lent us the use of a room to shower for the journey home which was great and we still had the use of the all inclusive to which meant when could have a good meal before the journey home. Other Amenties Such as the spa offers a limted amount of service and was rarely open and the kids club was not open due to numbers which is a shame if you are traveling with chiildren. Outside of the hotel Dassia is very Run down and tired with a few resturants close the hotel and the beach has been mostly colonised by the big IKos Hotel across the road and beach clubs which is real shame. It felt like the hotel was being ran with cost saving measures in place. I feel they could have offered a far greater range of drinks in the all inclusive Really. The pathway leading to are apartment block was steep and un even and poorly lit at night. The pool bar is a nice clean space with plenty of shade. The Pool Area is abit rough and ready im afraid with a lack of sunbeds and pool steps being loose and tiles missing generally poorly kept.
Contary to whats written on the here the food was good and tasty and what you would expect from an all incllusive and the waiting staff were friendly too. The Room was clean And the Air con worked well but the couple we traveled with said the lighting in there bathroom was poor and there was always the smell of sewage in the bathrooms allover the hotel and the hair dryers kept cutting out when used. We arrived after late night flight and was escorted to our rooms were the hotel had kindly left us a sandwhich in the fridge but never switched the fridge on and the sandwhich had gone bad and had l made the room/fridge smell. When they dont send a rep its no surpise really.
Tui Really Needs to review the rating of this hotel as it falls below its 4 star rating.
